Jonathan D. Groll - Profile
The focus of my practice is on Transactional Law, which includes Corporate Law, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Contracts. Given the importance of expert guidance and well-qualified counsel in achieving optimal outcomes for clients, my practice is focused on providing a high level of service. I pride myself on providing prompt and personalized attention to clients throughout Chicagoland, including the suburbs.
I completed my Juris Doctor degree at Valparaiso University School of Law in 1995 and prior to studying law I majored in economics. Upon graduation from law school, I spent seven years as an associate at a local law firm. In 2003, I opened my own firm.
As a complement to my practice, I serve as an adjunct professor at the Concordia University College of Business, educating students in the Graduate MBA Program. I frequently lecture on topics such as legal perspectives for not-for-profit entities, how to avoid elder scams and trends in legal liabilities. Membership in city, state and national bar associations provides many opportunities for continuing education. The legal landscape is constantly changing; I find that both teaching and attending continuing legal education classes enriches my law practice and enables me to provide my clients with the most current legal information available.
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela where my parents served as missionaries; however, the Midwest has been home to me since 1978. My lovely wife Mary and I currently reside in Oak Park where we are proud parents of three wonderful children. In my free time I have enjoyed serving on various charitable and community boards. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve the community through my legal practice.
